The Crankbrothers Stamp 1 Gen 2 is the kind of flat pedal riders buy once and stop thinking about—because it just works. Better grip, better foot support, better durability, and a true concave platform that feels planted whether you're riding trail, gravel, DJ, BMX, or daily commuter miles.

This updated Gen 2 version improves the original Stamp 1 with a thinner concave profile, stronger internal bearing system, and one-piece replaceable pins that deliver noticeably better traction and easier long-term service.

The small size is designed for riders with smaller shoe sizes who want proper platform support instead of oversized pedals that feel vague underfoot.

Compatibility & Technical Notes

Good Fit: mountain bikes, gravel bikes, dirt jump bikes, BMX, commuters, fitness bikes, and riders preferring flat pedals over clipless systems.

Not A Fit: riders specifically wanting clipless pedal engagement or oversized large-platform pedal sizing for very large shoes.

The small size matters—this is not just a color choice. Crankbrothers uses size-specific platform design, and correct sizing improves foot support and control significantly.

Service / Ownership Context

Flat pedals are one of the highest-impact upgrades for rider confidence. Better grip means better control, especially for newer MTB riders, technical gravel descents, and aggressive trail riding.

The upgraded IGUS internals and serviceable bearing system make these much better long-term ownership pedals than cheap sealed platform pedals that get sloppy and disposable.

Fit & Use Signals

Best for:

  • Trail mountain biking
  • Gravel riding with flat pedals
  • Dirt jump and BMX riding
  • Urban commuting
  • Riders learning technical descending
  • Flat pedal preference over clipless systems

Not ideal for:

  • Road cycling clipless setups
  • Riders needing SPD or road cleat engagement
  • Very large shoe sizes needing larger pedal platforms
The biggest mistake here is riders buying the wrong size platform. Small and Large are not marketing terms—they materially change foot support and control. Smaller riders often feel much better on the Small pedal instead of oversized platforms. The Gen 2 version is a real improvement over older Stamp 1 pedals. Better concavity and better internals are immediately noticeable. Flat pedals are often a smarter confidence upgrade than drivetrain upgrades for newer MTB riders. not bad
Format: Kindle
I loved the plot of this book. The characters just didn’t have a lot of depth. The connections and “love” just weren’t communicated very well in the writing. The author didn’t write the sweet psycho trope very well at all either. Lachlan was just a mess of a character.

A Beta Worth Rooting For
Format: Kindle
In Spare, Violet Fox flips the omegaverse on its head, giving us a Beta heroine determined to make her mark. Joining the Beta Trials to support her sick father, she's thrown into a pack that doesn't want her, especially the possessive Alphas. But here's the twist: their sweet Omega turns out to be her scent match. Cue the angst, forbidden tension, and a slow-burn romance that will make your heart ache in the best way. Violet Fox delivers an emotional, refreshing take on the genre, proving Betas aren't "spares." They're stars.

Beta, Alpha, Omega oh my!
Format: Kindle
Omegas are precious and given to Alphas & their packs... but the Betas want in too. To this end, the Beta government is rolling out its trial of assigning a Beta to each Alpha-Omega pack. But forcing a Beta into a pack where they are not wanted will not end well... Of course, no one expected the Omega to fall for the assigned Beta. Great read and cliffhanger

A familiar story, just with…..less.
Format: Kindle
So, as other reviewers make clear, this is very similar to Pack Darling and The Beta. It’s much closer aligned with The Beta, in plot and maybe more like Pack Darling with characters. That being said, I don’t hate this…..but it wasn’t great either. It’s both books mentioned but just….less. Less angst, less emotion, less feeling. The plot feels very half fleshed out, and the “bad guy” feels underwhelming. I didn’t really feel any real emotions from and of the male leads, except maybe Oliver. The others fell sorta flat for me. And Mika makes herself out to be this big bad ass straight outta training and then we never see it from here again with the one fitting room incident as the exception. SPOILER: The whole, “Oh, I’m actually probably an Omega, but I don’t wanna be but I do actually wanna be but no one can ever know my secret that I do nothing to hide “ thing fell so flat. She never commutes to believing she was secretly an omega, but also mentions her “secret” a lot. It just felt so manufactured. I’m intrigued enough to read part 2 and see how the author closes everything out, but this is not one I’ll recommend or ever come back to.

OUTSTANDING
Format: Kindle
This was very, very good. The world is vast and characters are complex. There is a good plot with a whole lot going on. This is well written. Good twists and turns and some heart breaking moments. You will love these characters, they have heart and loyalty. I am hoping that there will be several more books. We've yet to see anything from the Sea Court but only a mention of them here and there. The Wood Court was given a quick couple of scenes, and only as far as some warriors, we've yet to enter their court and the Shadow Court, I'm not sure if they will be a force for good or bad, but they definitely will play a much bigger role moving forward. This is primarily the Ice and Air Courts. Told in multiple views, which I loved, it gives you a chance to see things from different eyes. There's alot of political maneuvering and deception. I loved it and will pick up the next book as it becomes available. If you like The Fae and the courts, you should love this. I think the author has mucn in store for us.
